Mural Process
If you have decided that you would like a mural painted:
1
Make Contact
Contact us to get a better idea of what we can do for you and to get a more accurate quote. If you wish to proceed, we will schedule a time to come see the area to be painted in order to get final measurements and take pictures for the design sketches. At this time an initial quote will be provided and a non-refundable $50.00 deposit is required to start the design sketch process.
2
Approve Sketches
With the measurements and photos of your space, we will draw up a detailed sketch of the mural that will be painted. At this time you will be provided 2 opportunities to make any changes to the design. If you accept the design (with up to 2 changes) the project will begin and the $50.00 deposit is deducted from your total cost. Additional changes are possible at an additional $25.00 a sketch.
3
Schedule Painting Times
Once you are completely satisfied with your sketch, a final quote will be provided with a contract a 20% deposit is due. We will schedule you in to begin the mural and will book in all additional days required for painting. On the day that work begins, 40% of the final quote is required; the remaining 40% (less the $50 deposit) will be required on the last day of work.
4
Prepare the Space
Please have the wall ready and the room empty. Final quotes are made under the assumption that the room to be painted will have a coat of primer or paint and will be free of damage. If you require the wall to be prepared or repaired by us, an additional charge will apply and arrangements must be made in advance. All furniture should be removed from the room or moved aside to clear the wall and allow space to paint. Any items left in the space that impede the work of the artist may be moved and result in an additional cost.
5
Painting Begins
Murals are hand drawn on the wall referring to the approved sketch and painting begins. We use high quality, environmentally friendly paint which allows you to use the space during and after painting. Any changes or additions to the approved sketch at this time will be subject to additional charges.
6
Job is Complete
When the painting is complete to the specifications of the approved sketch, you will have an opportunity to review the work. If any changes or additions are requested at this time the artist has the right to leave the mural as is or continue work at an additional charge. When you are satisfied with the mural and the job is complete the remaining 40% (less $50 deposit) is due.
